Going Further is a growing time for young adults in the Anglican & Presbyterian tribes in NZ. It’s a week in community to consider God’s loving of us and living the Jesus way as you head into the year with your life, career, studies and church.
Following the risen Jesus personally and as part of his body – the church – is the call on our lives – but it is seldom straightforward. We know there must be more, but get distracted, overwhelmed and on occasions discouraged looking for the reality. Going beyond the superficial noise and easy words to the stuff that really matters requires clearing some space to receive and reflect on what’s happening.
Who is it for?
If you are connected with the Grace Collective or an Auckland Anglican Church and aged between 17 and 30, then this is for you! We have 5 x $100 subsidies to offer, to secure yours contact Karen [at] aym [dot] org [dot] nz before 18 December’15.
Key Speaker: Rev Francis “Frank” Ritchie
Frank cut his teeth on broadcasting by hosting The Green Room on Life FM for 8 years. He can be heard on Newstalk ZB at Easter and Christmas as part of some award winning shows, runs a blog that he updates from time to time, has a colourful social media presence, and loves good coffee.
Frank has also worked for a number of years with TEAR Fund, one of New Zealand’s leading aid and development agencies. That work has taken him into the slums of Nairobi, Delhi, and Mumbai, where he has seen the difference that can be made by generous and innovative people. He has also been caught in the middle of tension between the Israelis and Palestinians while on short trips in that part of the world.
Frank is a Wesleyan Methodist minister and is hungry to see the Kingdom of God come, on earth as it is in heaven. As a brilliant communicator and pastor he will help us grow in our understanding of our place in God’s unfolding story.
